Comfort Kits donated to Wind Youth Services

Wind Youth Services - Sacramento

Our speaker today was Lisa Campodonico, Development Director for Wind Youth Services. She shared with us some of the services that they offer the homeless youth in Sacramento. There were some pretty scary statistics given but she also let us know about their many successes.

The club members made up comfort kits to be given to young girls who end up in their program. They are filled with toiletries, a pair of gloves, panties and other items to make their stay with Wind a little easier.

Successful Bunco

Thanks to all who came out to play Bunco Saturday, January 21. Everyone brought coffee mugs and feminine hygiene to donate to Wellspring Women's Center where we hold this event. Sister Judy was there to accept the donations and welcome us to the center.

The game started after some donated Starbucks coffee and pastries. If you haven't played bunco before it can be very lively. It's a simple dice game but there is plenty of excitement when the right die are rolled.
